Subordination: Ministry of Energy and Environment Protection of Ukraine

Located in the Ternopil region within the boundaries of Borshchiv, Zalishchyky, Buchach and Monastyrysk districts. The park covers an area of almost 11 thousand ha.

It is established in February 2010 and aims to preserve nature, historical, and cultural heritage in the middle reaches of the Dnister river.

Places worth visiting in Dnister Canyon National Nature Park:

  • An unique drip waterfall Maiden Tears;
  • The Hermit's Grotto;
  • St. Anne's spring with healing water;
  • The ruins of Chervonohrad Castle;
  • The largest plain waterfall in Ukraine - Dzhurynsky;
  • The world's longest gypsum cave - Optimistic (233 km);
  • The oldest cave temple in Ukraine;
  • Unique geology: Silurian and Devonian outcrops, and unique travertine rocks.
