It is also knowns as “Galytsia” Monastery. The Monastery is located in the far east of the Chernivtsi region on the wall-shaped right bank of the Dnister Reservoir (120 m above its level). The national nature park “Khotynskyi” is located near the Monastery. The artifacts of Chornoliski culture, discovered on the Monastery’s territory, serve as proofs that people already lived here in the 1st millennium BC.
