Built in 1691 by Crown Hetman Stanislav Yablonovskyi, following the French fortification school model draught. The rectangular castle had bastions at the corners, the drawbridge and a gate in the north wall. The two sides of the fort were surrounded by a ditch, and the others by steep and high banks of the Dnister river. The thickness of the castle walls reached 2-3 meters. Nowadays, the remains of the castle are surrounded by a dendrological park, which is the oldest one in the Ivano-Frankivsk region (founded in the 90s of the 17th century).
