located in the Lavriv village (Lviv region), the 800-year-old Monastery of St. Onuphrius is one of the most important spiritual centers in Western Ukraine, a unique monument of culture and a part of the national history. At the beginning of the 20th century, the fragments of the 16th century unique frescoes were found under paintings on the three walls of the monastery. Recently, the relics of St. Onuphrius, who is was the patron saint of travelers, childless families, and parturients, have been brought back here.
